You know B'Elanna, most people would be grateful that someone was here looking out for them. If something happened to a friend I'd rather know about it ASAP rather than waiting for the post-mission dust to settle and seeing who didn't make it back.
I'm not going to nag you to do the same return, but at the same time there's no need to fight it so hard.
