5'4, slender with greater muscle mass than her petite size would indicate. B'Elanna is a hissing cat in a small package, a hot temper, intimidating and someone not to cross on a good day. Her hair is kept shoulder length, naturally wavy and styled away from her face. When off-duty, B'Elanna will default to leggings and a long top or a comfortable dress, depending on the occasion.

Despite being born off-world, B'Elanna has a more human-sounding voice than Klingon-sounding due to living on a human colony in her early years, though when angry (or aroused) she's fully capable of pulling a Klingon growl or guttural sound into her throat. She's firm and authoritative in tone, though when relaxed she can be a little warmer, when angry she's blunter, sharper and hostile.

Despite being half-human, B'Elanna's strength and endurance are on par with a full-blooded Klingon. Her Klingon nature is also something that she almost speaks of as being a separate entity to herself, something that whilst part of herself is something that she struggles with controlling especially her temper. Though she has begun exploring her Klingon heritage and has begun accepting more of herself, B'Elanna is still very rejectful of this half of herself.
